Restorative Yoga Evening
This Evening Runs Monthly
Restoration and Relaxation- an evening of Restorative Yoga. Restorative Yoga can be a valuable tool for self-care, especially in challenging times. Restorative yoga helps to regulate the stress response and rebalance the nervous system, enhancing our capacity to heal.
This evening will not focus on stretching or strengthening, but on releasing tension in the body through long-held poses designed to support and comfort. In this deeply nourishing practice we will relearn the art of relaxation, and develop the ability to self soothe.
The evenings are currently being run ONLINE via Zoom. Upcoming dates:
February 26th, March 26th
Flowing with the Moon
November 29th 6:30pm
The full moon reminds us to tap into our feminine energy, (yes guys, you have it too!) providing us with the opportunity to become fully open, and more receptive to all that’s around us. Encouraging us to move through our own phases in life with a more open mind and heart. It’s the perfect time to stop and breathe, to reflect, and to give gratitude.
During the 90 minutes, we will flow through sequences designed to channel and harness the magical energy of the moon (including my absolute favourite, Moon Salutations!) The practice will end with a gentle, nourishing restorative sequence, and finally a deeply relaxing guided savasana.
All Abilities welcome, though some experience with Vinyasa Flow will be helpful.
Yoga Workshop – Foundations Of Standing Postures
Saturday, 7 November 2020, 10am – 11:30am
Standing Postures are the building blocks of an asana practice. In this fun and dynamic workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of standing postures in a vinyasa practice. We will be looking at the different variations of the postures to develop your practice further, as well as modifications, so that you can walk away with options which are best suited to your own practice.
We will also be working with transitions, along with correct breathing, and body awareness to promote a more fluid vinyasa practice. As a result of this workshop, you will have a better understanding of alignment in standing poses, and be able to move into and out of postures more easily and safely.
Poses included in this workshop are, but not limited to; Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Triangle Pose (Trikonasana), Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana), The Warriors (Virabhadrasana), Extended Side Angle (Utthita Parsvakonasana), and everyones favourite Downward Facing Dog (Adho mukha svanasana).
This workshop is suitable for beginners, as wells those who are more seasoned in the practice. Props are provided and mats are provided, but if you have your own please feel to bring them along. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in, and a bottle of water. Oh, and don’t forget your sense of humour! There are bound to be laughs and giggles
